Mini Facelifts and Mid Facelifts

The appearance of your cheeks, neck and jawline change over time due to gravity, sun exposure, aging and genetics. A surgical procedure that addresses these areas is called a facelift and necklift.  Dr. John Burns, MD is nationally know for a natural and less invasive approach to facial rejuvenation.  Dr. Burns uses a short scar technique with SMAS repositioning to create a natural and beautiful result.  Dr. Burns follows newer concepts in facial rejuvenation with a lift and fill approach where volume is replaced using facial fat or facial fillers.  As a complement to your facelift, Dr. Burns is also nationally recognized as a US Top20 injector with Allergan achieving the highest Double Black Diamond designation.  Adding Botox and/or filler can further rejuvenate the face, neck, and eyes; and provide longevity to the procedure.

A mini-facelift addresses gravitational aging in the midface and lower face. The incisions around the ear are shortened and some surgeons refer to this procedure as a “short scar facelift.” This procedure is ideal for younger patients in their 40s or 50 where gravitational aging is minimal and neck contour is satisfactory.

A facelift is not the same for every patient. The goal of a facelift is not to make you appear different; the goal is to “set back” your “aging clock” to restore a more youthful, natural appearance.
