Latisse, bimatoprost ophthalmic solution, was originally formulated as a glaucoma medication. It was discovered in this patient population that Latisse also caused eyelash growth.  Allergan, makers of Latisse, research Latisse and found that indeed eyelash growth was stimulated by Latisse.  Latisse is applied daily to eyelashes in a simple application process.  After daily application for six to eight weeks, eyelash growth will be evident.

Latisse is a prescription medication and requiring an in office visit.

Latisse for Eyeblows

Used "off-label" Latisse is safe to use on the eyeblows.  Latisse can be used to thicken and grow thin eyebrows or brows that have been overplucked or waxed.

Applying Latisse to the brows requires precision and patience.  Latisse misapplied to the face or cheek can result in hair growth in unwanted areas.  Like eyelashed, Latisse for brows requires six to eight weeks for results.
