Chin augmentation can be done with an implant or by fracturing the jawbone and moving the chin forward. A well-done genioplasty will be in harmony with the nose and other facial bones. In females, the face should be heart-shaped with the chin understated and elegant. In males, the face should be more square with the chin accenting a stronger jaw line.
