Dr. John Burns Covid-19 Practice Update Page
Update: April 2, 2020
We are living in an unprecedented time in our history with the recent Coronavirus/Covid-19 pandemic. Due to directives from the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (APSP), The American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ASAPS), The Texas Medical Board, CMS, The Dallas County Health Department, Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and other regulatory agencies, we will be following all necessary directives to comply with all regulations surrounding the recent Covid-19 pandemic. Specifically, all elective office and surgical procedures have been suspended until the middle of May and perhaps longer to comply with the extended Shelter in Place mandate. To comply with the Shelter at Home mandate and CDC guidelines and to protect our patients and staff, only emergent post surgical patients will be seen in the office and other routine followup visits will be conducted via telemedicine. Until we are cleared to re-open our practice, new patient consultations can be conducted via telemedicine. We greatly appreciate your understanding but please know that we are here for you. Our phone will be answered during routine business hours and we have a doctor on call after hours as we have always done. Dr. Burns will be available by phone, email (firstname.lastname@example.org), FaceTime, Skype, and Zoom.
